Jerry Leroy Ford, 85, of Weirton, WV, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Weirton on November 15, 2025. Jerry was born on March 26, 1940, to the late Lloyd and Grace Ford.

A loving husband, father, uncle, and brother, Jerry was a graduate of Weir High School and was employed for 35 years at Weirton Steel Corporation. A charismatic and sometimes an ornery soul, Jerry could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and rarely met a stranger.

He enjoyed the simpler things in life, especially spending summer weekends at Ponderosa Park in Salem, OH, with a cold beer in hand, country music playing on the radio, and a campfire surrounded by friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, James, and his sisters, Ellen Hulick and Ann Shilling.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna; his son, Lloyd, and fiancée, Andrea; his sister, Sharon McDaniel, and husband, Arthur; his brother, Charles; his sister, Jolene Kolosky, and husband, John; his honorary granddaughter, Samantha Myers; and dozens of nieces, nephews, and in-laws, as well as countless friends who were like family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 4–7 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home.

Per his wishes, there will be no service, and cremation will be handled by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory Services. A celebration of life for family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice or to the local food bank.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare workers at Select Specialty Hospital – Weirton and WVU Medicine – Weirton Medical Center for their dedication and the outstanding care Jerry received.

A special thanks goes to the Weirton Medical Center 6th Floor Skilled Care Unit for the compassion and exceptional treatment they provided during his extended stay earlier this year.
