In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his stepson Ronald Gillum, stepdaughter Carolyn Croston, brothers Don (Madalyn) Grunden, Jack (Ruby) Grunden, sisters Linda Marshall, Diane (Charles) Miller, and granddaughter Rhonda Henderson.
Jerry graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1954. He was formerly employed at MidMark Corp as a Welder in Versailles. He was a proud member of the Montezuma Church of Christ, the Celina Eagles and enjoyed a life filled with outdoor adventures. He found great joy in fishing and hunting, pastimes that brought him peace and happiness throughout his years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the Grunden family online at LehmanDzendzelFH.com.
