Jerry Harrelson age, 69, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at his home in Reidsville surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 7, 1954, in Vidalia to his loving parents, Odell and Mary Sharpe Harrelson.
Throughout his working career, Jerry found joy and fulfillment as a painter. He had an unwavering dedication to his craft and always put his heart and soul into every stroke of the brush.
Beyond his passion for painting, Jerry enjoyed engaging in various activities that brought him excitement and camaraderie. He had a special love for shooting pool and even participated in turkey shoots. Hunting was another hobby that he enjoyed. Jerry's need for speed led him to appreciate dirt track racing where he delighted in witnessing the high-octane action.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Bobby, H.L., Durrell, Don, Marilyn and Danny Harrelson
Jerry's memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years, Renee Tompkins of Reidsville; his children: Jerry Allen (Denise) Harrelson, Joanie Cheely, and Jeremy Harrelson all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Anna Webb, Sarah Harrelson, and Angelina Cheely; great grandchild, Paxton Bryant; numerous nieces and nephews
Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from the Reidsville Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carl Burkhalter, Jimmy Trull, Rob Hutcheson, Rodney Hutcheson and Lonnie Hutcheson
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Harrelson family.
