Maben, Mississippi - Jerry David Jackson, 86, of Maben, MS, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Wynwood House in State College, PA. Born on March 21, 1939, in Maben, he was the son of the late Otis Alton Jackson and Willie Lou (Mason) Jackson. On December 24, 1958, he married his beloved wife, Mildred (Kuykendall) Jackson, who preceded him in death on December 10, 2016, after sharing nearly 58 years of marriage together.
Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Cumberland High School and a life-long member of Cumberland Baptist Church in Cumberland, MS. He retired from Monte Glove serving in Management.
Jerry is survived by his son, Daney Gilbert (Wendy) Jackson of State College, PA; daughter-in-law, Peggy Jackson of Grenada, MS; grandchildren, Carrie Lynn (Todd) Everingham, Dublin, Ohio; Aleesha Danielle (Greg) McDonald, Grenada, Mississippi; Ashley Nicole Buri, Washington, Pennsylvania; Morgan Renae (John) Penza, Knoxville, TN. Colton (Gabrielle) Gilpin and Andrea (Mitch) Lang; great grandchildren, Maxwell and Lauren Everingham, Dublin, Ohio, Marlee and Aubree McDonald, Grenada, MS, Henry Lang, State College, PA, and Trey Petrella of New York City.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, David Lynn Jackson; and siblings, Lonnie Boyce Jackson, Joe Billy Jackson and Martha Ellen Egli.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Jackson at Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora, MS.

My childhood and adolescence would have been terribly boring without Jerry. We slept and ate at each other's houses often, camped out, fished, rabbit hunted, rode horses together - once all the way to Mantee. We studied together before tests and whenever we were required to memorize something. We were Saved at the same revival meeting, baptized together in a stock pond in Mr. Marion's pasture. Jerry was athletic, fastest runner, highest and longest jumper at "field day" 11th and 12th grades. A key player on the Cumberland basketball team. After High School he became interested in a girl and we didn't spend as much time together, but always remained close friends. I will always cherish those memories. I so admired Jerry for the love and devotion he showed Mildred as he cared for her during her long sickness. May God reward him richly and bless all his descendants.
