Jerry Kapaun

Jerry was born June 23, 1971, in Fargo, the son of Jerome, Sr and Joyce (Kempel) Kapaun. He was raised in Mapleton, ND, attending grade school there. Jerry graduated from West Fargo High School in 1989 and joined the Air National Guard that same year. During high school, Jerry was employed at Larson's Super Valu in West Fargo and continued working there after graduation until he started with Cash Wise Grocery in Moorhead. Jerry transferred to Park Rapids, MN and continued as Meat Manager at Coborn's Grocery. Jerry married Nancy Wander on December 4th, 2004, in St. Thomas USVI.
Jerry is survived by his children: Jordan Laney, Avery Kapaun, Baylor Kapaun, and Ramsey Kapaun; parents: Jerome & Joyce Kapaun; brother: Jim (Tammy) Kapaun; nephews: Morgan Kapaun and Nathan (Brittany) Kapaun; great-nephew: Jones Kapaun.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Julie Kapaun; grandparents: Henry & Elizabeth Kapaun and Fred & Regina Kempel.
Visitation: An hour before the service.
Memorial Service: 2 pm Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.
Burial: Alice Community Cemetery, Alice, ND
