Jerry "Jake" Lynn Kenyon

March 1, 1943 - January 6, 2026

Jerry "Jake" Lynn Kenyon, 82, of Grand Island, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving children.

A service and celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, at First Presbyterian Church. There is a visitation on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church.

Jerry was born March 1, 1943, in Grand Island, to Delbert and Wilma (Beliel) Kenyon. He grew up in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1961. He joined the United States Army on June 22, 1964, and was honorably discharged upon completion of his service. Jerry was employed by the United States Post Office for 40 years.

On December12, 2006, Jerry married Diane Schuppan Fahrenbruch. He was currently a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. He loved all sports, coached his kids, was a referee for football and basketball, and played fast pitch softball for several years. Jerry also enjoyed fishing, golf, and playing cards. He was a member of the Grand Island Duplicate Bridge Club and attained a Master's level certification.

Those who cherish Jerry's memory include his wife Diane; children, Jaci (Monte) Dickson, Jodi (Jackie) Smith, Jarod (Colleen) Kenyon, and Jeni Kenyon; step-children, Jeff (Becky) Fahrenbruch and Amie (Mihir) Patel; grandchildren, Jake (Molly) Dickson, Brady Dickson, Cody Dickson, Gabbie Dickson, Brayden Vogeler, Madison (Jacob) Watson, Alexa Kenyon, Jakston King, and Jade King; a great-grandson, James Dickson with great-granddaughter Watson on the way; and Pixy, his four-legged buddy.

He is also survived by a sister, Jan (George) Brauer and the mother of his children, Karen Ensley.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jerry Case; and nephew, Jeff Case.
