Obituary
Jerry Kepperling, age 80, of Fairborn, passed away, March 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, at Soin Medical Center, Beavercreek. The son of the late Robert and Lucille (Purdin) Kepperling was born August 4, 1942, in Cherry Fork, OH.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and son. During his career he worked with General Motors as a welder for 34 years and served as a volunteer firefighter for 2 years in Cherry Fork. He enjoyed watching many sports, including football but especially treasured good ol' NASCAR. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and longtime member of the Fairborn Masonic Lodge 764 and Scottish Rite for more than 40 years. Jerry will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Lucille) Kepperling; daughter, Gerri M. Kepperling; and beloved pets, Willie; and Jax. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary H. (Whisman) Kepperling; daughters, Deborah R. Ferguson; Patricia A. (Jeff) Herman; six grandchildren, Matthew (Kristin) Ayres; Catie (Ajay) Hiles; Jessica Herman; Deana Ferguson (Cody Rowland); Ashley (Christopher) Hill; Jerry (Katie) Lowrie; six great-grandchildren, Ayden; Jayda; Kameran; Ella; Makynzie; Owen; brother, Robert Kepperling; close special friends Justin and Diana Robbins; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
A Masonic service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 6:00 P.M. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Eric Meade, officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 24, 2023,
at 1:00 P.M. at the Cherry Fork Cemetery, Cherry Fork, OH 45618.
