Jerry Lanier Obituary
After graduation from high school, Jerry served his country honorably in the United States Army. He eventually went to work at Carolina Telephone where he became a Supervisor. He retired from Carolina Telephone in 2000. He was very proud of the fact that he was able to receive his pilot's license.
Left to cherish his memory are his son; Kevin Scott Lanier of Fort Mill, SC, a granddaughter; Ellis Lanier of Columbia, SC and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 am in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Lanier family.
