Jerry Locklear passed away on December 9, 2024. He was born to the late Felton and Lizzie Locklear. He was predeceased by his sisters, Arlene Faile and Edna Lee Locklear, and brother, Samuel J. Locklear. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at the Ford Motor Company Norfolk Assembly Plant for 32 years retiring as a Supervisor Manufacturing Planning Specialist. Jerry met Jesus in 1972 and has always loved and followed him in his everyday walk. You could see him every Sunday greeting people at church and welcoming them with a big smile. You could see the love for the people of God as he talked to them about Jesus. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Dottie Strickland Locklear; sons, Jerry K. Locklear and Chris Gaydos; grandchildren, Jon Tyler Locklear, Britney Locklear and Noah Gaydos; and three great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home & Crematory, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Chris Faile officiating. Please join the family following the service at a reception at the funeral home.
