Jerry Maloy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pinehaven Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC from Dec. 12 to Dec. 15, 2025.
Jerry Leon Maloy May 25, 1951 to December 6, 2025 Beaumont MS Jerry Leon Maloy, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 74, in Hattiesburg MS. Jerry lived his life with purpose, dedication, and an unmistakable love for his family and his church. Graduating in 1969 from Harrison Central High School, Jerry was a talented football player, leading him to several offers until he suffered an injury which cut his offers short. He was an avid Ole Miss fan. Jerry was a dedicated welder for over 30 years until 2009 when a life-changing event happened, forcing him into retirement. Jerry was an avid fisherman and an occasional hunter, but in any free time he had, he was ready to bait that hook and drop that line to get him the biggest bass he could find. Being a long-term resident of the coast, Jerry ended up relocating to Beaumont, MS for the past six years. Here he joined Arlington Baptist Church, where he's been a member since. Before this relocation, Jerry was a member of Campground Baptist Church, where he found both fellowship and fulfillment within his community. Jerry's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan/Tonnie Maloy, his daughters, Shellie (Ricky) Hillman, Amanda (Brian) Slocum, and son Stephen (Angelica) Maloy. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Robert (Rhesa) Hillman, Anthony (Wendy) Gomez, Isaac (Jayda) Valerio, Katelyn Hillman (Riley Shows), Braxston Blackwell, Alzaiah Gomez, Stephanie Maloy, Taylor Maloy, Tyson Maloy, Jordan Maloy, Maekayla Slocum, and Dalton Slocum, as well as his treasured great-grandchildren, Ava Grace, Eloise, Angelicia, & Isaac Jr., sister Judy Maloy and Brother Tony (Sherrill) Maloy. He is preceded in death by both his mother and father, Leon and Clara Maloy. A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 3, 2026, at Campground Baptist Church in Gulfport MS, starting at 11 a.m.
