She was born on June 5, 1939 in West Frankfort. Jerry was of the Christian faith and enjoyed watching Christian Television and Westerns. She was a caregiver and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Marks; parents Robert and Mary Bell; daughter Beth (Burns) Morgan; and sisters Sherry Williams, Peggy French, and Phyllis Sines.
She is survived by her daughters Anita Austin, Jennalee Hood, Sheri Gunter, and Mazie Burns (Andrew Williams); sons Tom (Janet) Burns and Charles Robert Burns; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; mother to 5 step-children; best friends Margie Armes and Burtis Maddox along with his late wife Melba.
Services will be held on Sunday November 9. 2025 in the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort at 2:00pm with Pastor Doyle Mills officiating. Interment will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service.
