Jerry W. Marsh, age 83, peacefully entered his heavenly home on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 17, 1941, the son of the late J. C. and Nettie Goodman Marsh.
Jerry had a commendable career, serving as the owner and operator of Marsh Lawn Service, a testament to his dedication and hard work. Prior to his venture into lawn care, he was employed with Dalton Meats and Harpers County Hams, contributing to the local economy and community through his various roles.
A member of Inspire Church, Jerry's faith was a guiding light in his life. He had a variety of interests that brought him joy, including hunting for Arrow Heads in the West Tennessee area and fishing in the local lakes. He was an avid fan of westerns on television and closely followed the St. Louis Cardinals and the University of Tennessee Vols, bringing his deep enthusiasm for sports into his everyday life.
Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Beverly Fields Marsh. He is also survived by two daughters, Stephanie Friedrich (Jeff) and Dawn Marsh (Danny Green), who have cherished his nurturing presence throughout their lives. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Cortney Treece (Hunter) and Rachael Morford (Jake), and his great-grandchildren, Maren and Madeline Treece and Weston and soon to be Vanessa Morford, who will fondly remember the moments they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. C. and Nettie Goodman Marsh, his son, Jerry Devon Marsh, as well as his brother, James M. Marsh, and sister, Dardanella Matasso.
A visitation with family and friends to honor Jerry's life will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Clifford Walker, Sr. pastor of Inspire Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Friedrich, Danny Green, Hunter Treece, Jake Morford, Jason McCaslin and Chad Goff.
