Jerry Perez Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 27, 2026.
We come together today to honor the life of Jerry M. Perez (71), a cherished member of the San Angelo community, who passed away on February 19, 2026. He was born on September 27, 1954, in San Angelo, Texas.

He joined the Army right after high school and proudly served for six years. After returning to San Angelo, TX, Jerry became known for his generous heart and his loud, infectious laugh. He was a familiar face to many, having dedicated 36 years of service to Walmart. He was not just an employee, but a friend to all who crossed his path. His coworkers were very dear to him, and he considered them family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Victor and Simona Perez, as well as his siblings, Avelino, Felix, Mary, Stella, and Judy. Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Betty Gonzales of San Angelo, TX; his brother, Victor Perez and Victor's wife, Bonnie, of Arlington, VA; his beloved niece, Patricia Perez of San Angelo, TX, who held a very special place in his heart; and his loyal dog, Maximus Augustus Perez, who was his constant companion and brought him great comfort and joy. Each family member will forever hold dear the memories of Jerry's kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

Jerry's life was one of simple pleasures. He found joy in everyday moments. His absence will be deeply felt by his coworkers, friends, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jerry's passing, due to natural causes, reminds us all to cherish the time we have with our loved ones.

As we say goodbye to Jerry Perez, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind-a legacy of hard work, commitment to coworkers, family, and friends, and a deep-seated love for his hometown of San Angelo.

The family of Jerry Perez would like to thank his coworkers at Walmart for always taking care of him and treating him like family.
