Obituary for Jerry Allen Peterson
Jerry Allen Peterson passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2025 - just one day before his 61st birthday.
Jerry had a deep love for the Bible and an in-depth understanding of its teachings. He believed in God and loved Jesus, and his faith guided him throughout his life. He enjoyed having deep conversations with those close to him about Scripture and faith.
He was a hardworking and dedicated man whose strong work ethic and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. He began his career in the carpet laying industry as a teenager and spent the past ten years as a salesman for Integrity Flooring, where he was known for his vast carpet knowledge, reliability, and tireless dedication to his clients and coworkers.
In his free time, Jerry loved playing pool at his favorite hangout, The Alley Club. He not only enjoyed the thrill of winning but also took great joy in teaching others the game he loved. Remember, "WWJD - What Would Jerry Do?" - a lighthearted reminder of the wisdom, humor, and generosity he showed throughout his life.
Jerry had a deep love for music and enjoyed reading old Western novels by Louis L'Amour. He was a devoted husband and father who also enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his favorite gifts was a lifetime hunting and fishing license given to him by his friends at The Alley Club as a birthday present - a gift that he treasured deeply.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Phyliss and Pete Peterson; his sister, Alexica Jo Cornell; and his brother, Terry Lynn Peterson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Wendy Peterson; his sons, Jerrid Peterson and Jason Andrews; his brother, Gary Baker; nephew, Kevin Nizza; nieces, Elaina Melton and Sandra Baker; and many great-nieces and nephews. Jerry will also be deeply missed by numerous friends, including lifelong companions Jimmy, Tony, Gene, JT, and Gary.
Jerry's presence, laughter, and generous heart will be forever missed but never forgotten by all who were fortunate to know him.
