The family of Jerry Dwight Puffenbarger, age 70, announce his passing on March 25, 2026, at the Mariposa Hospice House, in The Villages, after an extended illness.
Jerry was born on June 4, 1955, in McDowell, Virginia, to Elvert Howard Puffenbarger, Sr., and Shirley (Losh) Puffenbarger Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father, Elvert Howard, Sr., and sister Dorothy (Puffenbarger) Harrington.
Jerry, a proud US Navy veteran, will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Shirley Nelson, of Lake Butler, one daughter, Samantha (Kenny) Savage, two grandsons, Parker Ballard, 14, and Gavin Ballard, 12, of Des Moines, IA, sister Liz (Bill) Chalker, of Orlando, brother Elvert Howard (Kathy) Puffenbarger, Jr., of Benton, LA, aunt and uncle, Holly and Dale Losh, of Lake Butler, and many nieces and nephews.
As Jerry requested, there will be no funeral service, but the family appreciates your love and support during this difficult time.
