Jerry Lynn Roberson left this world on January 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, kindness, and “the simple life”. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico, on October 28, 1956, to Walter Gene Roberson and Wanda Yvonne (Stephens) Roberson. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter, brother, Steven Roberson and sister, Sandra Roberson.

Jerry was a handyman and junk collector who loved visiting and joking with everyone. He was a dedicated friend to many and the master of “off the cuff” humor. If he ever got in trouble, he always knew “a big guy” who could take care of it! He enjoyed old westerns, cop shows, movies (especially comedies), cars, dancing, and casinos.

Jerry is survived by his momma, Wanda Roberson (who he loved dearly), as well as his son, Wally, and his daughter, Mandy, all of whom he couldn’t see as often as he wanted due to distance. He also leaves behind two sisters and brothers-in-law, Roberta and Glenn Hightower and Lois and William Rinderer; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He is also survived by Bonnie, his wife of 40 years, who he cared for.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1400 N. Center Ave., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
