Jerry was one of the first cartoonists I met at my first Reubens Awards in NYC back in '85. I've loved and admired his work even before then, but found even greater respect for him after meeting and knowing him over these many years. Jerry was nothing but kind, generous, encouraging, and a great friend. Even though I was not a big "Name" well known cartoonist, Jerry always went out of his way to speak and talk with me. For those who didn't know him personally, I pity you, because you missed knowing a great treasure.

This is so sad to hear, I grew up watching batman. Mr. Robinson will obviously be missed by his family, friends, and those who enjoyed his art. My prayers go out to his family. No one wants to experience the loss of a loved one, very soon "The last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing."
1 Corinthians 15:26

To the family of Jerry,

I grew up with DC comics and my favorite was the Batman series.I couldn't for the next issue to come out and see what was next. I wish I had the forsight to hang on to these gems. They brought a lot of good dreams at nite wishing I could be a super hero.
His talent and creativity will sorely be missed and I hope there will be a way for his thoughts and talent rub off on someone to continue his dream.RIP my friend you made all the kids in us smile and dream.

Thank You!

Dear Gro, Jens, and LIv,

Please accept my condolences. In one of my last conversations with my mother, who died in 1989, she told me of how kind Jerry had been to her, and after she died, Jerry was very kind to me, at a very difficult time.

I doubt you have any memory of me; when I was 13, somewhat older than Jens (whom my little sister, Laura, had a secret crush on), I would sometimes go up to your beautiful apartment to open letters from that unconquerable pile of Flubs and Fluffs contest entries.

I just wanted to wish you the best in getting through what must be a very difficult time,

Gary Stone

P.S. I am sorry if this note duplicates another note I tried to send earlier-computer problems.

Dear Gro, Jens and Liv,

I just wanted to give you my condolences in what must be very difficult time. My mother, who lived in apartment 1A, told me about how kind and loyal Jerry had been to her. When she died in an accident, in 1989, Jerry was very kind and comforting to me.

I do not think you remember me; when I was 12 or 13, a few years older than Jens (whom my little sister Laura, had a secret crush on), I would sometime go up to your beautiful apartment to open letters from the ever-replenished pile of Flubs and Fluffs contest entries.

Once again, please accept my condolences and best wishes.

Jerry's Friends and Family, think of these words when you are remembering our friend Jerry, "For everything there is an appointed time,...a time to laugh and a time to skip about."(Ecclesiastles 3:1-4)
Jerry put smiles on a many faces.
