Jerry and Alton were the closest I ever came to having brothers when we were going up. Some of my fondest memories are of playing at the sawmill my Uncle Ernest owned. Being an only child would have been very lonely had it not been for my favorite cousins,Jerry and Alton. We had such fun when my parents came back from Florida. Wanda was a little too grown up to spend much time playing with us yet when she did we had all the more fun! Uncle Ernest would always take breaks from working the sawmill to see that each child got candy from his pocket. Those were the days! Even then Jerry had a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed, still wonderful memories will always be in my heart so he will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences to the family.
