Jerry Lee Smith III was born on December 13, 1976 to Velma Smith and Jerry Smith Jr. and peacefully departed this life on September 26, 2025. His journey was marked by love, resilience, and a deep dedication to his family and community. In September 2012, Jerry was married to Charitha Jones, a union rooted in love and partnership. Though they later divorced, Jerry remained a dedicated and loving father to their child, Blake and co-parenting with Eboney Jeter and LaKesha Lindsey the mothers of his other children: Jerrioeon, Jerry and Jermiyah with care and devotion. Jerry was known for his determination and ambition, earning his Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and demonstrating his work ethic and perseverance in all pursuits. His strength and kindness touched everyone he knew. He leaves behind three cherished sons: Jerreion, Jerry, and Blake, who brought immense pride and joy into his life. He was proceeded in death by his beloved mother Velma Smith his father Jerry Lee Smith II, and his daughter Jerimiyah Smith.Jerry was a loving brother to Derrick and Broderick Smith and half-sister Lindsey Barry, a valued God brother to Brain Ford, and a beloved Godfather to LaLanya Harris and Bridgette Hayward. He was honored to be part of the Ford family with Ralph and Lynette Ford as his Godparents. His legacy extends through numerous nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with warmth and generosity. Jerry's enduring spirit, love, and positive influence will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Though his journey has ended, his memory continues to inspire and uplift. Jerry cherished every moment spent with his children, especially those times when they gathered together to reminisce about old memories and share stories from his past. He took great pride in being part of every milestone in his boys' lives, celebrating each achievement with love, laughter, and heartfelt joy. Family was at the center of Jerry's world.
