Mr. Jerry Wayne Stokes, age 79 of Guthrie, passed away on Saturday, July 19th at his home.
Jerry was born February 16, 1946 in Elkton, Kentucky son of the late Paul Stokes and Margaret Knight Stokes.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from the Trane Company. He loved his family and enjoyed making bird houses and collecting knives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Stokes and a sister, Ann Norfleet. He is survived by his wife, Jane Stokes of Guthrie; two sons, Chris Stokes of Lewisburg and Nathan Stokes of Trenton; two sisters, Brenda West of Crofton and Elaine Steakley of Elkton and four grandchildren.
Visitation with the Stokes family will be on Wednesday, July 23rd from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Rev. Tyler Estep and Rev. Mike Dukes officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
