Jerry Paul Stone, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 6, at Candler Hospital.
Born on April 11, 1943, in Savannah, Georgia, Jerry was the son of the late Reverend Henry Stone and Genie Wells Stone.
A lifelong lover of animals, he found joy in the companionship of dogs and cats. Jerry also had a deep appreciation for early rock and roll, especially the music of Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, and he could often be heard cheering passionately for the Georgia Bulldogs. Those who knew him will remember him for his kindness, compassion, and warm spirit.
Jerry is preceded in death by his brothers, David Stone, Daniel Stone, and Albert Stone.
He is survived by his dear friends, Roy Fields, Laura Dinello, and Caleigh Love,; his sisters, Francis Garfield and Betty Frizzelli; and a host of family and friends.
Jerry’s memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
