Jerry Swift Obituary
March 27, 1934 - February 11, 2026
Jerry Dale Swift was born March 27 th , 1934, in Farmington, Arkansas and went to be with our Lord on February 11, 2026. He was the firstborn son of Raymond and Pauline Swift.
After graduating high school in 1952, Jerry moved to Southern California where he met the love of his
life, Catherine Geri Swift. After a few years Jerry moved his little family north and settled in Santa Rosa. There, they raised their 4 children, built businesses and watched their family grow.
In 2000 they made the permanent move to Yuma, Arizona where they enjoyed 15 more years together before Geri's passing, after 62 years of marriage.
He was a faithful lifetime member of the Church of Christ and supporter of Florida Christian College. He was a successful businessman and entrepreneur who always worked hard at whatever he did. Besides his love for the Lord and his family, Jerry loved to fish!
He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Swift; son, Dale (Sherri) Swift; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and even a few great-greats; sisters, Janette (Bill) Nichols; RaeJean (Bill) Goodwin; and brother, Dennis Swift. Numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Proceeded in death by wife, Geri; daughter, Pamela; sister, Rita; grandsons, Ryan and Adam.
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Yuma Mortuary, 775 S. 5th Avenue, Yuma, AZ.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Emerald Springs Senior Care Facility for their loving care over the past 3 years of Jerry's life. Also wishes to thank Acacia Hospice Care for their loving help during this difficult time.

In honor of Uncle Jerry, we have dedicated a donation in his memory to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Seattle, Washington - the place that housed and supported our children through the many months of our grandson´s long and difficult medical journey. In so many ways, that kind of steady care reflects the way Uncle Jerry lived: rooted in faith, generous in love, and faithful to family. His kindness wasn´t limited to one moment; it was the way he lived with everyone he loved. We will always be grateful for his example and the love he gave so freely.
