Jerry L. Watson, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on November 11, 2025, in Benton, Arkansas, at the age of 91. Born on March 13, 1934, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Jerry's life was a testament to hard work, community, and love.
After dedicating many years to his career at State Farm, Jerry retired with a wealth of knowledge and experience that he willingly shared with those around him. His commitment to excellence was mirrored by his involvement in the community. Jerry was a long-time member of the Lions Club, where he actively participated in various charitable activities and projects that sought to better the lives of those in need. His compassion and dedication left a lasting mark on his community.
In addition to his professional and community endeavors, Jerry enjoyed spending his leisure time engaging in his favorite hobbies, which included golfing and fishing. These passions brought him joy and a sense of peace, allowing him to enjoy the beauty of the natural world while creating memories with friends and family.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Nelda Watson; his son, Michael Watson, and daughter-in-law Andrea, from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; his daughter, LeAnn Tiner, from North Little Rock; his step-son, Mike Westbrook, and step-daughter-in-law Cathy, from Benton; two grandsons, Brandon Watson and Mason Tiner, and his step-daughter-in-law, Pam Westbrook. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Steve Westbrook, and other family members who now await him.
The family asks that you remember Jerry as someone who lived fully, loved generously, and gave selflessly throughout his life. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
