Jerry L. Webb Sr.
80, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 22, 2026.
He was born September 11, 1945, in Dayton, to the late Cecil Webb, Sr. and Pauline (Ball) Webb.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Lee Webb, Jr.; brother, Cecil Webb Jr.; and sisters, Linda McNeal and Marlene Heeter.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Kathy (Birkhead) Webb; daughter, Robin (Michael) King; grandchildren, Liam King and Xander King; sisters, Darlene (Frank) Smith and Rita (Tom) Gilbert; brother-in-law and best friend, Larry McNeal; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Jerry loved the outdoors and found peace on the water while fishing at Rocky Fork alongside his dear friend Kenny. Whether it was crappie, bass, or catfish on the line, those days were filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of companionship that only time and shared memories can build.
Jerry also spent many seasons hunting rabbits with his beloved beagles, he not only hunted with but raised and bred himself. His vegetable garden was another source of pride and joy, especially his tomatoes, corn, and onions, which reflected the care and dedication he put into everything he did.
A true craftsman, Jerry had a gift for woodworking and took great pride in building chest of drawers and furniture that were as sturdy as they were beautiful. If something was broken, Jerry knew how to fix it.
A faithful servant, Jerry ushered at his church, First Baptist Church of West Alexandria, and devoted 23 years of service as a church trustee. His commitment was unwavering, his work dependable, and his faith evident through action rather than words.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 31 from 11am to 12:30pm at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria, with the funeral service beginning at 12:30pm with Pastor Jerry Carter officiating. Jerry will be laid to rest at Bear Creek Cemetery, Dayton.
