OBITUARY JERRY C. WILSON
Jerry C. Wilson, 93 years old, passed away on July 30,2025 at the Ranger Care Center. He was born on July 18, 1932 to Bessie and Ruben C. Wilson in Ranger Texas.
Jerry graduated from Ranger High School in the class of 1948. He attended Ranger Junior College receiving an Associate Degree. Jerry continued his education attending Hardin Simmons University in Abilene and after one year transferred to Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Jerry returned to Ranger after college and started a 40-year career with Lone Star Gas Company working in the various offices in Eastland, Cisco, and Ranger before being transferred to the Fort Worth offices. In Ft. Worth he worked in the Accounting Offices and other various divisions before retiring.
He resided on Normandale St. on the West side of Fort Worth for the last 40 plus years. In 2023 Jerry's health started to decline and his longtime family friends Doug & Sissy Crawley helped him return to Ranger in December 2023. He has been a resident of the Ranger Care Center since then.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and loving sister, Mary Joy.
Services will be at 10 am Saturday, August 2nd at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger, Texas. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
