Jerry Trent Young, 85, of Bixby, Oklahoma, peacefully passed from this life on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on January 2, 1941, in Geary, Oklahoma, he was the son of Roy Lee Young and Ocie Marion (Hunter) Wood. Jerry's journey through life began in Geary but saw him flourish as a long term resident of Eufaula, where he left a significant mark.
A proud graduate of Glenpool High School, Jerry carried forward the values of dedication and hard work throughout his professional life. He found a rewarding career at Rockwell/Boeing in McAlester, Oklahoma, where he spent many years making valuable contributions before his well-deserved retirement.
Jerry leaves behind a loving family that includes his two daughters, Karen Griffin and her husband John Rhode of Bixby, Oklahoma, and Sherry Hill and her husband Steve, also of Bixby. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Katie Green and her husband Chris of McCurtain, Oklahoma, and found immense joy in his great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Liam Green. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Jerry is reunited in eternal rest with his beloved wife, Camilla Young, as well as his parents, Roy Young and Ocie Wood, along with his sister, Loretta Wood, and his brother, Jack Woods.
His legacy is characterized by the love he shared, the family he nurtured, and the community he served. Jerry Trent Young will be missed deeply, but his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
