Ms Jeryl Spencer McParland

"Jeryl Ann McParland (nee Spencer), of North Easton, MA and Rye, NY, passed away after a brief illness on April 18, 2025. She was 89.
Jeri is survived by her daughters, Paige, Elaine (Damian), and Felicia, and four grandchildren, Alexa, Matthew, Julia, and Michael. Jeri, the eldest of four daughters born to Thomas Arthur and Jeanette Spencer, was born in New Haven, CT on September 1, 1935 and raised in Hopedale, MA.
She graduated with an associates degree in nursing from the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital for several years until her marriage in February, 1961 to Clifton McParland, M.D. Jeri continued her education, earning her BSN at UNC-Greensboro in May of 1990, and her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Jeri was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading crime novels, studying philosophy, and vacationing in Hilton Head Island, SC. She was an excellent student and excelled in each phase of her education and work life. She was a spiritual woman who attended church regularly. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on April 26 at Hopedale Village Cemetery. Pastor Abraham Waya will officiate. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at the home of daughter Felicia at 2110 Berkley Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24015."
