I have many memories, all wonderful! One of my favorites: has to be the many times when I was little, I would be sent over to give Martha something or get something, and Jesse was alway sitting in his recliner like a ref watching the Atlanta Braves. I was no dummy, I knew who the players were from the time I was around 2! My knowledge of rhe players always shocked him, I think! I would ask how Del Murphy was doing or some other player? He would just smile and shake and rattle to me what was going on in the game, and sometimes I was lucky to see his baseball cards! (Until we would get into trouble because My Maw Maw would be needing whatever I had coneovee for, I woukd run through the gate fas and lick it! If you wanted Jeese to smile, you'd just have to ask about the Braves or his newest cards! (He also had the best watermelons EVER!--just saying!, I have pictures to prove this... )
Jesse, you will be missed, it is our loss, your gain. See you soon.
