Jesse Jose Cisneros, affectionately known as J. J., passed away on January 19, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 4, 1979, also in Dallas, to the late Jose Gudberto Cisneros and Lucinda G. Rogers.
Jesse grew up in Dallas, where he developed a love for life that was evident to all who knew him. He completed his education at L.G. Pinkston High School, which served as the foundation for a life filled with hard work and determination. His career path led him into house moving and surveying, where he applied his skills with dedication and passion.
He was a devoted Christian, and his faith played a significant role in his life. Jesse enjoyed many hobbies, including traveling, fishing, and riding motorcycles. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to create countless cherished memories with family and friends. He often shared heartwarming stories, illustrating a life rich with wonderful moments.
Jesse is survived by his beloved children, Briana Marie Garcia, Jerika Jasmine Cisneros, Danay Celeste Cisneros, and his step-son, Isaac Herrera. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, Jesse is survived by his mother, Lucinda G. Rogers; his brother, Frank Silva III; and a wealth of cousins, aunts, and uncles, including Tony and Lola Rogers, Mary Helen and David Silva, Carmela R. Tijerina, Albert and Sanjuana Nunez, and Patricia Cisneros.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jose Gudberto Cisneros, and his grandparents, Celestino and Maria Cisneros, Paula G. Rogers, Tony M. Rogers, and Maria Guadalupe Rogers.
A visitation for Jesse will be held on January 29, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chism-Smith Funeral Home in Irving, Texas. The funeral service will take place on the same day, starting at 5:30 PM and concluding at 6:30 PM.
Jesse Jose Cisneros touched the lives of many through his kindness, humor, and zest for life. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
