It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jesse Martinez, who passed away on October 6, 2025. Born on May 23, 1960, in Grand Forks, ND to Miguel and Dora Mae Martinez, Jesse was a vibrant soul whose love for music resonated deeply in the hearts of everyone he encountered.

A true musician at heart, Jesse enjoyed a life filled with melodies and laughter, using his humor and lighthearted spirit to forge connections with friends and family alike. He found joy not just in playing and singing but also in sharing his passion with those he loved. Beyond music, he cherished the tranquility of fishing and the thrill of visiting the casino, where he would often share contagious laughter with his friends. Jesse had a particular fondness for Mexican food, which he delighted in sharing during family gatherings, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Jesse is preceded in death by his mother, Dora Mae Martinez; brother, Miguel Martinez, Jr.; and his favorite dog, Chiquita.
He is survived by his daughter, Richell Martinez; father, Miguel Martinez, Sr.; loving sisters, Sherry Martinez, Bonnie Martinez, and Cindy Salazar; best friend, Scott Rodahl; and several nieces and nephews.

Jesse's family will celebrate his life with a visitation on Saturday October 18, 2025 at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm.
