ERWIN - Jesse Dean Zundel, age 36, of Erwin, Tennessee, passed unexpectedly on November 7, 2025, when his generous heart, which had given so much to others, finally grew tired. There is a bittersweet poetry in that; a man who lived by giving so much of his heart was set free by it. Born with a spirit woven from kindness and laughter, Jesse walked through life helping anyone he could. A skilled welder and mechanic, he took great pride in his detail-oriented work. Every project he touched reflected his knowledge, precision, and quiet devotion to doing things right. In his spare time, you could often find Jesse playing video games with his close-knit group of friends and family. Those who knew him best will remember his selfless nature, his quick wit, and his gift for bringing a smile to anyone's face. At the drop of a hat, he would be there for whomever needed him; always ready to lend a hand or deliver the perfect, well-timed pun.
Jesse was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Gary English, Marvin (Angie) Zundel, and has left behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Alicia Ella Zundel; his mother, Michelle Zundel; his father, Troy Zundel; his grandmothers: Mary English, Anita (Jim) Nelson; his brother Zane (Courtney) Zundel; and nieces: Alura Zundel, Ciana Zundel; as well as several other aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and dear friends; all of whom will carry his love in their hearts.
Jesse's story will be remembered not in grand gestures, but in the everyday moments he made brighter, the laughter he sparked, the love he gave, and the lives he quietly changed.
