Ms. Jessica White Griffith, age 77, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away on April 2, 2025, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN of cardiac arrest. She was born May 6, 1947, in Macon, MS, the daughter of the late Levoy Shook White, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Brown White. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.

‍She was a member of the New Johnsonville Church of Christ. She enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking, watching Fox News, and spending time with her 3 dogs, children and grandchildren.

Jessica was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was a real estate agent and retired from the Humphreys County Highway Department after serving the county for 30 years. She loved her work family very much and spoke of them often. She loved her dogs: Baby, Jack, and Ollie, and was so proud of them! She was brave, and strong and did everything with honesty and integrity. She had strong values and was loved by everyone, mostly due to her genuine infectious smile that would radiate pure joy! She loved to laugh and make light of situations. She always made time to empathize and listen to others, lifting them in times of need. Her legacy will live on forever, reminding us to choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.

Jessica is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jonathan Levoy Griffith (Jenny) of Franklin, TN, Jason Nicholas Griffith of Nashville, TN, and Judson Nathaniel Griffith of Franklin, TN; nine grandchildren: Carmen Lynlea Griffith, Jonathan Case Griffith, Jolie Elle Griffith, Zoe Kaylynn Jones, Ella Faith Griffith, Alexa Nicole Griffith, Kylie Elizabeth Griffith, Jaylyn Danielle Griffith and Kaylee Marie Matlock. Her memory will live on through many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Jessica was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, Jacqueline Helen White Alston, and brothers William Earl White and Levoy Shook White, Jr.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Humphreys County Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Joe Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN.

Jessica’s family will serve as pallbearers.
