Jessie Ann Holmes, age 78, received her wings early Friday, November 14, 2025, and is now with her Lord and Savior.
Jessie was born on June 24, 1947, in Grandview, TN. Her parents were the late Earl Brady and Lois Eva Burnett.
Jessie married Stanley E. Holmes on December 14, 1963. The couple were blessed with two wonderful sons – Eddie Dean Holmes and Joseph Clinton Holmes – three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Just shy of 62 years together, Jessie and Stanley resided in Ponchatoula, LA, for almost 40 years and then later in the Flat Creek community of Bedford County, TN. Jessie loved life but thrived at her two favorite pastimes: yard work (including indoor plants) and cooking for family and friends.
Jessie is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Holmes; sons: Eddie Dean Holmes and Joseph (Dori) Holmes; three grandchildren: Derek Joseph (Ella) Holmes, Cynthia Evelyn (John) Robinson and Caleb Joseph Thaggard; two great-grandchildren: Iris Holmes and John Asaph Robinson; brother, Marvin Brady; and three sisters: Sue (Ralph) Link, "Gennie" and Nancy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
No public services are planned.
