On Thursday, October 9, 2025, Jessie Mae Mallette Huggins "Pig", widow of the late Edward Huggins, exchanged mortality for immortality at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Sunday, November 18, 1945, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Wiley and Martha Thames Mallette.
Services celebrating her life will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00am from the Faith Center, 2935 Raccoon Rd., Manning, SC, where the Rev. John Taylor of the New Light Evangelistic Church, Orlando, FL., will preside. The Rev. Dr. Major Lloyd, pastor, will bring word of comfort. The service of committal will follow in the family plot located in the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Silver.
The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, October 14, 2025, 4:00pm - 6:00pm from the Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 West Boyce St., Manning.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence, 315 Brunson St., Manning.
Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel of Manning is assisting the Mallette and Huggins families.
