Jessie Ronald Powers, 80, husband of Sherril Powers, died Thursday, July 21, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, after an illness.
Mr. Powers was born on January 22, 1942, in Georgetown County, son of the late Jessie Mull Powers and Erma Inez Williamson Powers. He was a member of Outland Church of God and retired from Wellman Industries.
Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Sherril Harrelson Powers, of Hemingway; son, Greg Powers of Hemingway; sister, Mary Powers Thompson of Hemingway; brother, Gerald (Elaine) Powers of Andrews; daughter-in-law, Lorie Powers of Ports Hill; sisters-in-law, Dixie Powers of Hemingway, Eloise Harrelson of Hemingway, Carol (Johnny) Smith, Pam (Mark) Hazelton, Faye (JR) Heath, all of Charleston; number of nieces & nephews; great nieces & nephews.
Mr. Powers was preceded in death by a son, Gary Powers; brother, John Henry Powers and brother-in-law, James B. "Jimmy" Thompson, Jr.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Outland Church of God, Hemingway, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Outland Church of God, Hemingway.
