Jessie "Shorty" Burger

Jessie "Shorty" Burger of Calhoun, Ga passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 86 at her residence. Her family was by her side as she started her next journey of life in heaven.

She was born in Murray County, to Vience and Alma Wilbanks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Burger; and a grandson, Christopher Burger; one brother and six sisters; her in-laws, Turman and Annie Burger. She was a daughter of God, a sister, devoted wife for 69 years, and mother of two sons. Her passion was her family, serving the lord and volunteered numerous amounts of her time to other families in need. This world is a better place because of her leadership and the life she lived.

She is survived by two sons, Chris and Norris Burger; grandchildren, Lamanda Burger, Jessica Gilstrap, Vincent and Katie Burger, Jessica Barrett; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will welcome visitors for her at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3 - 9 P.M. and Wednesday 11 A.M. to the service hour at 1 P.M. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and grandson at Chandler Cemetery.
