Jessie Streeter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Terry Family Funeral Home - Portland from Oct. 3 to Oct. 4, 2025.
Our beloved Jessie Lee Streeter was born December 9th, 1951, in Charleston, Mississippi. He was the first-born son to his loving parents, Mother Willie B Streeter and Bishop Herbert Lee Streeter (SR.).
In his early years Jessie along with the Streeter family traveled to Portland Oregon where he began his new life. As a child Jessie attended Boise Elementary, and Irvington Elementary School. He later attended Washington Monroe High School where he graduated.
Jessie developed a love for cars at an early age. This led to him working beside his father at H & S Auto Detail, the family business. He also worked for Techtronix in Beaverton Oregon and later retired from Northwest Traffic Control.
Jessie was a man of many talents, he was a jokester and could make anyone smile with his sense of humor. His famous phrase was '' Ain't nuthin sweeter than a Streeter!!! '' Jessie had an abundance of love for all of his children as well his family.
Jessie also had a special bond with Ms. Verita Gill-Johnson and Ms. Nanci Jarrard who stayed with him to the end. He had a deep, unconditional love and connection with his brothers and sisters guiding them as a big brother should. He was a protector, someone that you could call on in a time of need. Jessie loved to fish, gamble, and have a good time.
Jessie lived his life with very little restrictions and did what he wanted to do regardless of what anyone thought or said until God called him home. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed!
Jesse is proceeded in death by his mother, Willie B. Streeter, Bishop Herbert L. Streeter Sr. (Father), Marty L. Streeter (Brother), Dana C. Streeter Sr. (Brother), Marit L. Streeter-Hammick (sister).
He is also survived by his children: Latonya Gay-Streeter, Quandrae Streeter Sr., Sherree Streeter and Katrina Streeter, His Brothers; Herbert Jr. & Wayne Streeter Sr., and his sister Shirley Coleman.
His Grandchildren: Tashara Williams-Streeter, Mykila Gay, Quandrae Harris-Streeter, Ayianna Torregano, Naylani Streeter-Ford, TaTianna Terregano, Gianni Torregano, Deshawn Streeter, Joziah Moore-Streeter, Kenya Streeter, Zyaire Streeter, four beautiful Great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews and Cousins.
