Jesus Aniel, a beloved father, grandfather, Lolo, brother, and friend passed the morning on January 3, 2026 , just over a month after his 71st birthday. He was born on December 8, 1954 in Manila, Philippines. He only finished 6th grade, and was raised by his grandmother. He worked as a waiter and then he married the love of his life, Herminia Papna on February 14, 1976 in Olongapo City, Philippines. They moved to the United States in 1986. They lived in Stayton, Oregon and together they raised a beautiful family and resided there ever since.
Jesus was a dedicated hardworking father, working hard and always providing for his family. He was an Employee of the Month at Norpac Foods. He did not drive, so his transportation was riding his bike to work and was a dedicated employee at Norpac until his retirement. He would work the swing shift and his wife would work the day shift, so they did not have to worry about day care. Together through the good times and the bad, they both worked very hard to provide for their family and make ends meet.
Jesus was also known as Jesse by many friends and family. He had a friendly spirit, always making friends in the small town of Stayton, creating a special bonds with many loved ones and with friendships over 35+ years. He enjoyed spending time with everyone from playing pool, family events/gatherings, to simply having coffee, or eating meals with his wife and family.
Jesus loved playing pool and was in tournament leagues, winning 1st place trophies and he loved going fishing-his most favorite hobby, where he proudly taught his children. He loved going fishing with them and grandchildren as well. Other hobbies he enjoyed included going crabbing, going to the beach, eating good food at restaurants which his favorite was Pho, going camping with family, and cooking, barbequing, having family gatherings, especially during the holidays when he could see all his children and grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, his greatest accomplishments.
Jesus is preceded in death by his beloved father Feliciano Aniel and mother Alejandra Raya Aniel Horn, and along with their parents and siblings. Jesus leaves a legacy of dedication and passion for life. He is survived by his wife; Herminia Aniel and his children: Shiela Jebousek, Rochelle Roberts, Raymond Aniel, and Ryan Aniel; and grandchildren: Zoey Jebousek, Sofia Jebousek, and Mason Roberts. And his siblings: Lourdes Creech and Maria Aniel Davis. And in addition to many extended family and friends.
