The world became a little less bright on September 18, 2025, with the passing of Jesus “Jesse” Juvera. Born on July 11, 1936 in Harshaw, Arizona, he was the epitome of hard work, dedication, and love and devoted his life to his family.

Jesse was a supportive husband to his wife Frances of 64 years, a loving father to Steven Juvera and Mary Cunningham (Mark), and a doting “PAPA” to Parker and Kamryn Cunningham, Tony Juvera, Jacob Ryan, Alex Ryan, Issabella Ryan, and Raelynn Ryan.

Being a family man, he loved being around his nieces and nephews. He was a magnetic force. People gravitated towards him, and he accepted and loved them all. He was compassionate, loving and caring, attentive and hilarious. Known not just for enjoying friendships, but also for being a good friend. He was someone you could count on, a straight shooter and always got his point across.

Jesse was a devout Catholic, he was 3rd and 4th degree member in the Knights of Columbus for 31 years serving his Catholic communities in Tucson, Arizona and Dayton, Ohio. He was so proud of helping others. He is an Army Veteran and served for 8 years in Germany.

Jesse was a dedicated coach to his children as well as many young athletes, teaching the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. He made a difference in many young lives.

Jesse’s legacy is one of integrity, resilience, and love.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424.
