Preceding him in death were his parents, Rosa Maria and Guadalupe Veliz; maternal grandfather, Esteban Coronado; paternal grandparents Andrea and Antonio Moreno; and paternal grandparents, Susana and Pedro Veliz;
Family members left to cherish his memory include beloved children: Ricky Hernandez, Zena Hernandez, Genesis Veliz, and Zoria Veliz; their mother, Cindy Hernandez of San Antonio, TX; siblings: Jessica Coronado and husband Marcos Hernandez of Dallas, TX, Guadalupe Veliz Jr and wife Jacqueline Cazares of Del Rio; and Mayra Veliz and husband Jose Huerta of Del Rio, TX; maternal grandmother, Maria Coronado of Del Rio; aunts/uncles: Joey Coronado and wife Mari Coronado of Del Rio, Marcos Coronado and wife Angie Coronado of Del Rio, Robert Coronado of Del Rio, Norma Coronado of Del Rio, and Brenda Coronado of Del Rio; Chuy is also survived by many other close relatives and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at San Felipe Cemetery. Officiating will be Deacon Robert Sanchez from Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
