Jeter Bert "JB" Wilson Jr., a lifelong resident of Bryan, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 89. He was born on May 28, 1936, in Bryan, Texas, to Jeter Bert Wilson Sr. and Lydia Wilson.
JB will always be remembered for his humor, his honesty, and the deep care he showed to the people around him. He had a natural kindness and never met a stranger. Those who knew him best often recall how much he loved to dance and how easily he could make others laugh.
Throughout his life, JB enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests. He loved horses and spending time on trail rides, fishing whenever he had the chance, and watching baseball. He also had a special place in his heart for dogs and enjoyed the companionship of many throughout the years. In his younger days, JB worked as a disc jockey in the 1950s, sharing his love of music with his community. Over the course of his career, he also worked for Lilly Dairy, Herwald Pest Control, and Terminix.
JB graduated from high school and later served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserve, where he eventually retired after achieving the rank of Master Sergeant, E8.
A man of Christian faith, JB was a devoted husband and a loving father who passed down strong values of kindness, loyalty, and love to his family. His family remembers him most as a very loving father who always cared deeply for those closest to him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carolyn, his children, Shannon Wright and her husband Lance, Natali Wilson Wright and Scott Wilson; along with his grandchildren Dalton Wright, Caden Wilson, and Amber Wilson.
JB enjoyed country music and liked watching the television series Yellowstone. More than anything, though, he valued time spent with family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 9, at 11 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery near Percilla, Texas.
