I had the distinct honor and pleasure to teach alongside Jewel at the LSU Law Enforcement Basic Academy. While he was a funny and fun-loving guy, he took the approach to professional law enforcement seriously. His legacy of service to WBRSO and the people of West Baton Rouge will be long remembered and sorely missed.
