Jewel ZEIHEN Obituary
After meeting the love of her life in high school, Frank Zeihen, they married in 1947 after he came back from WWII. They remained in Chewelah for the rest of their lives.
Jewel and Frank created, built, and operated their own business together, Chewelah Log and Post. She loved her family, loved singing and playing music. Jewel was a home maker, craftsman, photographer, and participated in many community organizations in her lifetime.
Jewel Elaine Zeihen was preceded in death by son, Peter Zeihen; and husband, Frank Zeihen. She is survived by daughters, Diane Zeihen and Joanne Daniel.
Celebration of Life will be October 8, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at the Abundant Life Fellowship, Chewelah, WA.
Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Colville, WA, are handling the arrangements.

My family, the Salisbury's, moved on to Ehorn Lane (other side of Tannenburgs in 1953), then moved "downtown" to Chewelah in 1965. Peter was a playmate of mine. We really enjoyed the frriendship with the Zeihens - and truly appreciated the work they did. I admired Jewel's work on the old cemetery. Please accept our family sympathies, prayers, and hugs.

We have great memories of Jewel at the family reunion in Wilbur. Her work on the family tree was amazing. Sorry we won´t be able to attend the memorial due to being out of the area at that time.
