Jewell Lynn Hall was born August 21, 1927, in Jackson County, TN. She passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville, TN.
Jewell was the daughter of PD Lynn and Ruby Belle Smith Lynn. She married James Willard Hall on April 21, 1944. They were married for over 64 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She took pride in being a homemaker and housewife. Also, Jewell was a member of the Hurricane Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents: PD Lynn and Ruby Lynn; husband: James Willard Hall; son-in-law: Jerry Denson; great great grandchild: Cambree Denson and sister: Nannie Lou Hawkins.
Survivors include her son: Roger (Vivian) Hall of Cookeville, TN; daughter: Joyce Marie Hall Denson of Gainesboro, TN; grandchildren: Joey Lynn (Tammy) Denson of Gainesboro, TN, Jackie Dale Denson of Gainesboro, TN, Valerie (Herman) Stanfill of Cookeville, TN, Rebecca (Scott) Huddleston of Johnson City, TN, and Megan Hall of Seattle, WA; great grandchildren: Josh Denson and Ashley (Lance) Pirl of Gainesboro, TN, Elaine Huddleston and Thomas Huddleston of Johnson City, TN, Shay and Martina. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 4-8 pm and Thursday 10 am to 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. James Bybee and Bro. Danny Hall officiating. Burial will follow in John L Clark Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Jewell's honor to Hurricane Church of Christ or to the donor's choice by contacting the business office at the funeral home.
