Jiandong "Kevin" Zhu

Jiandong "Kevin" Zhu, age 58 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away unexpectedly at Riddle Memorial Hospital on February 4, 2023. He was surrounded by his wife and son at the time of his death. Born to Xiuyun Liu and Bingjun Zhu in Qingdao, China, Kevin immigrated to the U.S. in 1996, at the age of 32. Kevin has lived in Garnet Valley for the past 17 years, previously residing in Ithaca, NY, Akron, OH, and Kent, OH. Kevin was a Software Engineer for Genesis Healthcare in Kennett Square. Kevin was very active and played soccer, basketball, and tennis. He loved coaching tennis and coached his son, Andy, to two state championships. Kevin enjoyed watching football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Kevin also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his two sons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Xiuyun Liu and is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Fengxiang "Julia" You, two sons, Daniel and Andy Zhu, father, Bingjun Zhu, brother, Bo Liu, and two sisters, Aihua Zhu and Jianying Zhu. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, from 10AM to 11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.
