Jill Ina Holleufer

HOLLEUFER, Jill Ina, age 69, passed away November 1, 2025, loving daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Steiner, beloved mother of Rachael (Ryan Abramowitz) Holleufer, dear sister of Mark (Sandra) Steiner, caring aunt of Claire (Brian) Pollock, Robyn (Eric) Lamont and Rachel Steiner, great aunt of Arlo, Ezra and Isaac, also survived by her beloved granddog Primrose, and her best friend of 66 years, Laurel (Steve) Bishow.
Jill was a librarian at the Baldwin Public Library in Baldwin, New York. She retired in 2021 after almost 20 years. She was very involved in her community, especially with helping the youth. Jill held two master's degrees: one in education and the other in library sciences. She loved to swim, eat pizza, spend time outdoors, and enjoyed classical music and jazz. Jill above all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter, Rachael, who was her entire world. She enjoyed doing lots of shopping with Rachael, where they made precious memories spending time together. She took pleasure in spending time with her great nephews, and Jill also loved her future son-in-law, Ryan, and his family. Jill was unbelievably strong and was surrounded by many loving friends who supported her. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to ASPCA, or planting a tree in Israel would be greatly appreciated.
