Mrs. Jill Halpin Shawler, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Jill was born on Wednesday, June 26, 1974, in Rockford, Illinois, to Mr. James D. Halpin and the late Mrs. Janet Halpin.

Jill was a 1993 graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School, where she was active in the marching band color guard and sang in the chorus.  She also played girls' softball.  After graduating from Northwest, she went on to study at Dalton State College. Jill enjoyed her many years that she spent working at Chick-Fil-A and Schlotzsky's Deli. She spent the most recent years of her life working for Dalton's Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Jill was an active member of First Christian Church in Dalton, where she enjoyed helping her mom, Janet, organize kid's puppet shows. She also enjoyed working alongside Janet at her bakery, Creative Confections by Janet.  Jill and her mom were also involved together in teaching with the American Heritage Girls Organization.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Janet Halpin, Jill is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Marion Halpin and Myrtle Pierson, as well as her uncles, Robert Halpin and Roger Nicholson.

Jill is survived by her husband, Jamie Paul Shawler; her children, Cheyanne Harbold, Summer Spurlock, and Justin Spurlock, all of Dalton, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Dakota, Braxton, and Kaden Greeson.

Jill is also survived by her father, James D. Halpin of Dalton, Georgia; her brother, John S. (Pavanne) Halpin of Cohutta, Georgia, and her sister, Julie (Kevin) Eckleberry of Lagrange, Georgia; her mothers-in-law, Delonna Graham of Jasper Tennessee, and Gene Ann Shawler of Scottsburgh, Indiana; her aunts and uncles, Mary and Bob Herr of Dawsonville, Georgia, Joanne Nicholson of Richland Park, Wisconsin, Mary Halpin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John L. Halpin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Cathy Halpin of Fitchburg, Wisconsin.  Jill is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
