Jim Danforth

Jim was my H.S. Gym teacher. My best memory of him is that he wanted the best for each student. He is one of the remembered ones who helped make me who I am today. This world lost a great person. Class of 95"

I miss Jim. He was a good person, a good coach and a friend to many. I have many good memories of coaching with Jim. I am sure his family thinks back on wonderful times with him, as well. God bless ...

Worked with Jim at D-C for several years. His calm demeanor and hard work were well noted. His intensity for basketball always a positive. Condolences to the family, a kind man you will miss. Rest in Peace.

So glad to have been able to coach with and for you in 2 sports at DCHS...We had a great time working with the players and enjoying the development of their skills... You were a kind and gentle soul and I will always remember you in the best of ways... I have great respect and admiration for you... You are no longer hurting or suffering. Jim was the complete package, he was a great family man, an excellent teacher, a gentleman and a heck of a coach. I will always remember his professionalism and kindness to me. He was an Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Famer and honor he so richly deserved and is now in GOD'S Hall of Fame.

My heart goes out to the family. Mr. Danforth will be missed by many.

Mr. Danforth was one of my favorite PE teachers at DC back in 1988-1992. It´s been 30+ years and I remember him like it was yesterday. My condolences to your family.

We worked together at Dundee-Crown High School. He was a good friend and fellow teacher.
