In the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Jim Adam Hall, 85, of Marion, passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
A native of Marion, he was born November 13, 1939 to the late Wood Hall and Maude Mace Hall.
Jim dedicated much of his career to the textile industry, where he retired as a supervisor. He loved the Lord and enjoyed worshipping with his church family at New Covenant Community Church where he served as an elder. His deep love for his family was remarkable. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jim took special pride in being a beloved papaw to his grandchildren.
Known for his adventurous spirit, Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in fishing and camping, often sharing these passions with friends and family. His ability to connect with others was remarkable as he was always talking and building friendships with many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Bob Hall (Loretta), Edith Hall, Joyce Lamb (Johnny), and Jerry Dean Hall (Joyce- who survives).
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Janice Jones Hall; three children, Beth Foster (Donald), Amy Hall, and Joe Hall (Julie); six grandchildren, Jason Foster, Nick Foster, Megan Foster, Brittany Foster, Grayson Hall, and Carter Hall; two great-grandchildren, Ella Foster and Fern Foster; and one brother, Joe Hall (Frankie).
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Revs. Philip Steppe and Charles Shirlen officiating.
