Every morning an exciting new day opened for Jim Wilson. He loved the sunshine so much that he positioned his home facing south to enjoy more of it. He made his coffee with a french press to make it more flavorful. He enjoyed cooking, grilling meat & vegetables, and finding the perfect combination of foods and seasonings for each meal. He was also an admirer of aesthetics in art and nature. He loved to walk in the woods and had hunting stories to tell, once whistling his way alone through a graveyard at night in remote Dever´s Cove. His favorite tree was the strong White Oak. He cared for the birds by feeding them and liked to watch the different kinds show up outside his kitchen window. He found a black kitten at the spring where he gathered his water and it became his beloved pet, Ripples. When Jim was especially cheerful, he would sing and dance his way through a room. He loved music, history, and talking about his ancestors. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, boating, and fishing. He could tell you how many hours of sunlight were left in the day, the moon phase, and navigate the star constellations. He was a remarkable person with a heart of gold.
"Nature´s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf´s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden Sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay"
